Running demo programs on athena

The demo programs for MAS450 are found in the mas450 locker on MIT's Project Athena. They depend on Tcl/Tk for their user interface. Tcl/Tk is a cross-platform graphical user interface and scripting language; the demo programs can, in an ideal world, run on a huge variety of computers.

Currently, the athena versions of these programs are set up to run on Sun and SGI workstations. To run an application, do the following in a terminal emulator window (xterm):

athena% add tcl
athena% add mas450
athena% demo-application-name &
