Conversational Behavior in Groups

  1. From the group's speaking patterns, can you tell which individuals had opposing positions? (assuming there were only 2 positions possible in the debate)
  2. From the group's speaking patterns, can you tell which of 3 options each person had taken? (this is more accurate to the discussion -- there were actually 3 positions any person could take in the debate)
  3. In every debate, it was either 2 against 2 or 3 against 1. From the speaking patterns, can you detect this?
  4. Can you predict the winner (decision outcome) of the debate?
  5. There are a couple examples of groups making the wrong final decision -- are there distinct features in these groups, as compared to the right-answer groups?
