Work in groups of 2 or 3. Decide on a process which you would like to make a video of. Send us a description of that process: what is the context, what objects/people are involved, what actions are performed. Video the process bearing in mind that you will create two assignments based on this process.
Make one or more salient stills from selected shots. Select video segments for the salient still which incorporate varying levels of context and detail. Observe how the salient still guides your perception of the scene. Embed your salient stills in a short description of the process available on the Web from your home page.
Don't forget to keep a journal of your thoughts and decisions. These should be kept on an individual, not on a group, basis, although your journal should of course reference the collaborative decision making process.
