MAS 963 Special Topics:
New Media Storytelling (Breazeal/Bove/Davenport)
Thursday 1-3pm in E15-443
Hands-on subject that explores the art of storytelling using new technologies. Perspectives on storytelling as a business as well as an art. Guest lecturers supplement a laboratory/workshop format. Individual or group final project required.
Three Themes (in somewhat mixed up order)
I Theory, Acting, Visual Language: story theory, acting, visual language, and fiction production for different screens and viewing contexts (with studio mixed in)
II Production, Post-Production, Distribution: technologies for production, post-production, and distribution; cameras; sound; production design
III New Interactive: will cover new interactive, personalized, and social story modalities
