A little like Hermione’s magic satchel in the Harry Potter universe, JamBag seeks to hold anything and everything in the most convenient way possible. Constructed of JamSheets cleverly folded in a collapsible formation, JamBag is portable easy to use. The straps are telescopic, yet flexible, allowing the bag to become cross-body, or perhaps even carried as a backpack if there is too much weight, and carrying as a tote becomes impractical. One side of the JamBag is easily locked into a stiff support for loose leaf papers, while the other may remain perfectly flexible and expandable for bulky items, such as the jacket you brought just in case. Ultimately, JamBag collapses into a tiny, compact, flat, non-intrusive square that you can bring with you wherever you go.

Neat idea! And awesome use of GIF’s!
I wonder if the shape could also identity something about its contents or the users character? How would computation assist in some of these tasks? Food for thought.

I’m splitting my focus in a flexible major with Comparative Media Studies, and am looking forward to graduate school in UI/UX.

I’ve done research in electrochemistry and biochemistry, I’ve worked with Python, C++, and Java. I know HTML and CSS, and I’ve also done all sorts of fabrication—3D printing, CNC routing, laser cutting, and building models. Check out some of my work here.

I’m incredibly excited to be a part of this class, and I can’t wait to see the amazing projects we create!
