Assignment 7 (Due Mar. 30)

We will continue our exploration of music and the brain on March 30 with Josh McDermott, assistant professor in MIT’s Brain & Cognitive Sciences Department.

His recent discoveries of which musical functions occur where and how in the brain has received significant attention. Josh’s longstanding interest in music should allow us to have a fascinating discussion about the implications of his new findings and where they might lead scientifically and musically.
