Information and Communication Technologies for Development

I am a graduate student in Biomedical Informatics at Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology Division. Up until graduate school, I have been a practicing physician specialized in intensive care medicine, infectious diseases and internal medicine. I am interested in information systems, systems development and design, and artificial intelligence applications in medicine. I intend to go back into clinical medicine once I have completed my masters. By the way, I grew up in Manila during the tumultuous times under the Marcos dictatorship and moved to the US for all my medical training. I had been practicing medicine in New Zealand immediately prior to going back to school.
