My name is Oyebanke, but most people call me Banke. I am a Masters student in the Department of Urban Studies and Planning (DUSP), focusing mainly in International Development. My background is in Economics, and I am currently writing my thesis, which seeks to address the questions: why are prices still high and quality of service low, in many African countries, given competition and regulation in the industry. Kenya and Nigeria are my case studies.
Given my sparse background in IT, I hope ICT4D will continue to expose me to different ways in which ICT impacts development. Outside of academia, some of my passions include singing, dancing and learning other languages.
