I made a simple led circuit that lights of the petals of a flower. The “switch” is a safety pin on the back. The pin connects two pieces of conductive fabric and thus the LEDs light when the patch is pinned to something.
This is the first prototype of a fabric-based flexible XY motion gantry which can be controlled by a computer. I created the beginnings of an elegant evening wear cape that lights up when fastened/snapped together.
My project incorporates the use of a translucent double weave textile that can be used to allow light in during the day, and light up at night.
Description: The shooting star is designed to be something like a lit up version of a wind chime. The idea is that the star would flicker and glow when the wind blows (or when an object brushes past it), somewhat like how the stars flicker in the night sky.
