I feel like I've seen this sort of concept before (shadow play). To me, there interesting bit is the fading history. How do the accumulating traces effect how the stairs are perceived and used? What kinds of time delay would be interesting? Do you envision connecting any of the stairs to other stairs? Is there a very long kind of history that builds up and what does that mean? Why colored shadows?
